Echo 1/6/13
#1
went out to echo yesterday in search of better numbers of perch, starting fishing around 8 am and had to drill a few holes before we found em but the bite was real lite and you had to be tuned in to the hookset to get them. ended up getting 18 nice perch(mostly 9 to 11 inches) so good sized and a lot of fun. caught them all on halis jigs tipped with perch meat.

+1 on the light bite. Had to keep a close eye on the electronics and lift up on the rod without ever feeling the bite.

went back up again this morning and still got into a few jumbo perch but it was significantly slower from last time, had one big trout get off at the hole too. talked to a few guys who hadnt gotten any bites or caught any this morning too. all on perch meat and jigs
ice was still 6-7 inches thick but there was a good slush layer once you walked out a bit and the edges were getting a little soft cause i stepped through on the way on aswell. thanks guys

Would you mind giving some tips on the how's, where's, and what to use on Echo..
Looking to try some place I've never fished before a chance..
Bearlake is kind of slow til the cisco start to spawn.
