First time heading to Starvation this weekend was hoping to make the trip in my Honda for gas purposes. Just wondering what the roads are like past strawberry? Never been out that way before. Also once at the lake is there any plowed areas. I do have a state park pass if that is my only option.

UDOT has a camera at the bridge over Starvation and there are several others along hwy 40. Top of Daniels, near ckn creek and one other one. Check them before you leave home.

Daniel's canyon and by Starvation look ok. Looks like blowing snow around Strawberry is making it ugly and likely to result in some slideoffs for those with less than good tires.

Went to Starvation Fri 1/11. Left home@ 6:00a. Roads snow covered to just beyond Current Creek then became mostly bare. No highway snow from Fruitland on. Starvation Area didn't get the storm Thurs night ... no fresh snow.
Came home about 2:00p and roads were mostly clear except for Strawberry plateau. Don't think you would have had any problems with Honda. Wind was awful once we got to Starvation ... 30 + mph gusts on the ice. Temp 11 deg and falling. Had to use tent.

Starvation Fishing Report: Started at 42 FOW upstream of bridge. One nice trout ... no perch. Moved deeper 45 FOW found a nice perch school on sonar but bite slow until 10:00a. Caught about 20 jumbos during the next hour. Bite shutdown at 11:00a. Only a couple after that, but did get a couple of walleye then. No more trout. This area has been fished hard.

Left at 1:00p and stopped by Rabbit Gulch... only 1 tent out at the entrance point. Fished the Gulch twice before already and haven't found a perch yet. Strange because this was the hot spot last year. Anyone found the perch in Rabbit yet? Has anyone been to Salarius Wash yet?

Park access roads require 4WD because of past snow accumulation. Trueblue2
