I have not heard any good reports from BC in quite a while, did you try Wooddrift(sp?) or Little creek while you were up there? Thanks for the report Josh.

I didn't hit any other lakes because I'm unfamiliar with the area. I did see a ton of deer, some antelope, a coyote and a cotton tail rabbit. At least I think its called a cotton tail its the one that is all white. Also the walk up the damn to get into Birch Creek is very painful.

Yea, that hike up and down the dam is a killer. Did that rabbit you saw have long ears or short ears? More than likely it is what we call a Mountain Jack rabbit, they turn white in the winter. If it had short ears, it was a Snowshoe hare. Woodruff Res is just across the road from BC. It has some nice Cutts in it but no Tigers. Depending on the snow you can drive right to the top of the lake.

Yea, that is what the Small game guide book calls them but we have always called them Mountain jacks because we have never seen them in the low lands just the mountains[

The ears were smaller so I don't think it was a jack rabbit.

The cotton tails stay grey around here, and the Jacks go white in the winter. If that helps.
