Thinking about trying it out for the first time this weekend. Few questions:

Any recent reports?

I'd also like to know if the road (HW29) is well-maintained. And can you drive around to the west side?

Seems like I read about springs making the ice unsafe in spots. Is that true? Areas to avoid? Or is it pretty obvious?

Lastly, what jigs/lures/tubes should I use there?
