I've been hearing that the place is basically open water wish a skim of unsafe ice.

If it was safe I'd hit it.

I was told by some ice fishing pros to skip that lake all-together because it has underwater springs, one wrong step, you might have a really bad day. Bummer because it's so close. Can anyone vouch for that????

I've been up to Tibblefork a few times this winter.

There are fishable places on the ice -- at least there were two groups of Ice fishermen out last weekend and they looked like they were doing pretty well.

I think they almost did as well as me.... I was casting in the open water and catching 11-13" trout every 10 mins or so.
