Strawberry ice conditions today?

did anyone hit strawberry today? I am just curious on the slush layer. I know it had been slushy early in the week. It sounded as if it was getting better the last two days. Can you take a wheeler out on it today? We are headed up in the morning.

If you have one beast of a quad you should be able to access almost anywhere you want. On Saturday I saw a few on their quads going turtle speed, but they eventually got where they needed. I didn't see anybody stuck in the slush but saw a few wheeler tracks that busted through and made it out. We were on snowmobiles and didn't break through. We started from the marina and headed for Indian Bay. Hope this helps any.

I was at the berry a couple days ago and the slush wasn't too bad until you got closer to shore. It was about 4-5" of slush on top of about a foot of clear ice. You should be okay but I would be cautious. Aside from that the fishing is great right now. pulled out a few large bows and a really big cutt. [fishin]
