RP 2/26/13

Me and RFSlayer went to RP yesterday in search of some perch and some bows for the smoker. got there around 8 am and set up shop out in my perch area. started out in 42 FOW and it was slow at first but i didnt feel like drilling anymore holes in that thick ice. stayed put all day and between us we iced 55 perch in the 7 to 10 inch range. 3 rainbows and 1 brown aswell just fishing on the bottom.
windy windy windy it was out there so we both fished in my little 2 man cube all day and luckily the fish kept us entertained. ice was soft coming off at 5 30 so just a heads up. only counted 3 other tents there all day. some good numbers showing back up at the rock which is good. thanks

Glad you found some perch. As I said in my post I was hoping to find more 9-10 inchers but most were in the 8 in range. Sounds like a good day. I took my gas auger I would be dead on the ice if I tried drilling many hole is that ice by hand[laugh]

ya im thinkin the next 2 years they should start getting jumbo like echo ones are. but those are the best numbers ive got there in a few years.
