ice conditions shouldn't be an issue for another month. Or two.

Getting a quad on the lake should be no problem. Fish Lake isn't known for getting massive amounts of snow, even if there was a big snow storm the wind would blow it off within 2-3 days. The lake is slush free with a blown over skiff of snow. Ice is 16-18". The weather should be great, a light afternoon breeze is typical for that area. Bring your sunscreen!

Spent the day there around the Joe Bush area. Ice was still 16-24". It was all that I could do to drill a hole with my hand held auger. Luckily we came just as some people were leaving so we took their holes.
We fished from about 10am to 2pm and only caught about 8 perch and 8 rainbows. Pretty slow... Beautiful day though. Forgot sunscreen and burnt my face.

I went up on Saturday with 3 of my kids and a neighbor and his two kids. We did really well. This was my third trip up there this year. We got there at 0730 and walked to the east side north of twin creeks and south of the bowery. There was about 3-4 inches of snow on the ice. By afternoon, it had all settled down and the walk back was really easy.
We caught perch in 22 ft of water. Fast as you could drop it to the bottom most of the time. In the afternoon we fished for trout. Most of the trout that we caught were in 82 ft of water, suspended 18-25 feet under the ice.
PM me if you want some more info.

The weed beds are all the are around the lake. You will not have any trouble finding them.
