I wanna go fishin in Utah!!
#1
Hey there BFT'ers

I am heading back over your way on the 8th of March for a couple of weeks and would like to get a bit of fishing in while I am there. Any suggestions? Will there be any shorebased spots (I wil have minimal gear and dont want to go out on ice as I am very inexperienced in this regard)

Would there be any Wiper action at Willard or is it too early?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated?? [cool][Wink]

Hey Funchy,

It's been a very cold winter here and most lakes in Northern Utah are still capped in Ice and probably will be until the end of the month.

There is a section of Utah Lake and TibbleFork in Utah County where warm springs exist that are open.

I'm not sure about places further north.

Willard will probably still have ice on all of it. Fish a river like the Provo, Ogden, Weber or Green and catch some nice trout.

Your best bet right now is any river, tibble fork, Lake powell, kens lake, sand hollow and parts of utah lake that I know of.

This is one harsh cold winter. I just hope the ice melts faster.

Hey Mate, you don't want to give Starvation another go[Wink]. As far as Willard wipers, I'm afraid you are going to be a couple of months early. Are you planning any trips
back later in the year? Our weather is starting to finally warm up so the ice will be coming off but the other guys are right, you best chance to do any fishing will involve stream fishing and the location already listed will be your best options. If you are planning on coming back later this year, shoot me a PM and I'm sure I can take you out to Willard.
