I was up there yesterday afternoon and the south side of Cemetary point is going quick but was able to get on and off the ice with a plank, north side looked a lot better but I did walk down there.

[#800000]It’s been kept open all winter by mechanical means and is not indicative of the ice conditions on the rest of the reservoir. With all the warm weather we're getting lately, all reservoirs are going to be rising and the edges are going to be getting nasty. Getting OHVs on and off is probably over with for this season. Be careful out there.[/#800000]

Need Help[:/]!!! So this Saturday I want to bring my elderly dad and my 13 year old son down to Pineview for some great fishing. We are all from Wyoming and have never fished anything other than trout and are very excited to try out some different species. What my concern is will it be safe for my dad and son to be on the ice or getting on the ice? We have many years of ice fishing experience but on only a couple of lakes and used to thick ice. We are planning on going somewhere around the end of N 5900 E road. Thanks for any help you can give us and very pumped to catch some perch!!!

Sorry for the late response. We hit the south side of cemetery point Wednesday morning around 7am. We had no trouble at all getting on the ice but we brought a plank just in case. We fished in 25-30 ft of water and the bite was very slow until about 745 and then it was game on! Out of no where they just started hitting everything we presented them with. We were using the usul... Ice flies waxies meal worms they liked it all but they did seem to hit perch eyes a lot harder than anything else. Ended up catching about 120 between the 2 of us. We a brought 30 of them home for the dinner table. We left the ice around 130 pm the edges were looking a bit sketchy but all we had to do was step over about a foot wide gap from ice to shoreline. On the lake the ice was still at least 17" thick. I say at least 17 because my scoop is 17" long and couldn't reach the bottom of the ice.
