Fishlake 3/7&8
#1
Fish Thursday 930 til dark and this morning 8 til dark. I didn't feel well so I put my opinion in and let buddies do there thing.... Kinda disappointing but fishing is awesome. Happy happy happy. Thursday me and one buddy caught 35+ perch while the other three caught nada, perch were small so we moved and I got a 6 bows and a splake buddy got a bow. No big boys.

Today went to different spot and me and the same buddy slammed the bows with little laker and a couple splake, probably 30+ fish between us. While the other three managed a few perch and bows. We where in separate huts and showed them what to use and the depths?? Don't know . Windy yesterday, snowed 2-3" today but calm both days when left.

This was the third annual trip for three of us, I think next year it's 60+ FOW for me and one 10+ Mac........ 21" of ice, no slush, felt comfortable driving the four wheeler alp

Where were ya guys fishin'?

There is one thing you can always count on at Fish Lake...you will catch a fish. I've found some spots that produce some better perch, and in those same spots some really nice bows. Glad to hear the ice is doing what it should. Heading down there this weekend, hope this warm week doesn't melt the edges too much.

The best Splake fishing is around the 50-60' area (with my luck). Fished with some old timers who know the Macs really well, but I've never hooked up on one bigger than 10", maybe this weekend I can make it 10lbs [cool].

Thanks for the report, glad ya'll caught some!

We fished out from the parking lot past joe bush the first day and around Bowery and the point to the south on the second day. Worms caught the most fish, white and chartreuse jigs. Crawdad smelly jelly I thought helped. Goodluck.
