Starvation Ice?

Looked at the DOT camera freedom bridge, looks open around the concrete. Anybody been by lately?

Just looked, and the wind is blowing 21 to 30 mph at Starvation. No indication of waves in the UDOT picture. My guess is ice with no snow.

passed it saturday, all the edges were open and several back bays had open water. it should be free and clear in the next few days if not sooner

I was just there 20 minutes ago. Lots of open water in Indian Bay and the wind is blowing steady. I'll bet it is ice-free by the weekend.

The NOAA site shows a little bit better resolution. Might be happening as we speak.

Funny thing is, that it's the same camera. Same image, but the NOAA feed seems to have just a little bit better resolution. I can zoom either one up to fill the monitor, but the UDOT image isn't as clear. NOAA.gov

Still some ice this morning.
