First time out in the boat this season. Beautiful day but slow for me
Caught 5 Smallies and 6 perch. Most guys I talked to were having same luck. Im sure somewhere someone on that lake was killing them, always seems to be that way for me. Bass were respectable but nothing to write home about. No jumbos Fished mainly in the narrows. Lots of boats fishing.

Hey,
We were over there also. What a beautiful day with mirror calm waters and lots of sun. We also had to work for them. We fished the Cottonwood area, and the main lake and kept 12 perch and one 18" rainbow. Decided to leave early. Like you, we sure had to work for them. Mike

Good to see the largemouth come back. When I use to live in Grandview and fished the lake several times a week back in the early 70's I never caught a smallmouth but caught lots of nice large mouth, two that went over 7 lbs. [fishin]
