Palisade 3-30
#1
Had a little time Saturday morning and took the chance to see how PaliSades was doing. The lake was pretty full and the geese never did quit coming and going so there was plenty of noise on the water.

Threw all kinds of spinners but not much success with only a couple of small fish. Switched over to a fly behind a bubble and wished I had left all the spinners at home. Three casts and three tigers later I was glad I stopped by. Was short on time so I had to start working my way back to the car still pulling a fish here and there on the fly. Stopped at the dam long enough to catch lunch for the kids. Sure was easy to tell the difference between the tigers and the rainbows on the line. Good sold fight and you had a tiger. Barley fight at all and you had a rainbow.

Thanks for the report Richard, we haven't heard from you in a while, sounds like you had a fun day on the pond. Any size to the tigers?

Yea it's been a long winter this year. I didn't even make it on the ice one time. O well. I did get some fly tying practice in.

I would love to catch some of the trophy tigers that live in PaliSade but a 16 inch average wasn't too bad for lunch. All of the rainbows were about 11 inches so they might be this years planters if they have planted it.
