Took the wheeler on the road towards renegade today. About 4 to 6 inches of snow on the road. Some bare spots. Ice under the snow and warm slushy afternoon snow could make travel in a truck or Jeep a bit of work. A set of chains and I think you could make it just fine. I don't think anyone has taken a jeep or truck on the road, no ruts
The road from renegade road down to the strawberry tunnel entrance has been plowed and is dry all the way to the lake.
Road should be open on its own by the time the edges on the lake melt far enough to make for fine fishing.
Travel across the ice was great today. Parked on the launch ramp at the main marina and headed out across the lake. Edges ok. All the ice and slush layers all laminated together.
Ah the fishing was good for spring time on the ice. All in the slot with a mix of cuts and bows.
It was so quiet up there you could hear the ice melt.[fishin]
