Henrys Fork help...
#1
Ventured out and tried the Henry's Fork this evening but no dice. I tried up around Chester Dam and just couldn't seem to find a place that was good for wading. River was pretty high and fast (at least too much so for my liking, especially while by myself). Fished a little with a rubber leg and a bead head nymph dropper but no takers. Anybody know of a stretch or access point that if a little more fish able to use poor students that don't have a drift boat?

Chester below the dam is one of my favorite spots this time of year. Go in on the road to the boat launch on the southeast side. Walk down the boat ramp and wade fish that entire new riffle created when they did all the changes. Weighted Rubberlegs nymph, followed by a size 12 Zebra Midge, trailed by something small and red - all under an indicator about 7 feet above the Rubberlegs. Good luck!

Follow kellys advice....

Don't hesitate to fish above ashton, it isn't alot further from the berg and that section of the river holds a lot of big fish. Don't over look fall river, or the teton for that matter. Great fishing on both of those that gets over looked in favor of the north or south forks.
