A friend was in the Thanksgiving Point area the other day and said he saw a sign in front of a huge building that was being built, it said "The future home of Cabela's". I haven't been able to get an exact address from him so I have my doubts but that would be great. Anyone else have any first hand information? WH2

A little while ago, there was a thread on the subject. From what I remember, the city of Lehi has Cabelas on thier city master plan. The details as to when it might be built were a little foggy, but it looked like it was a good possibility. Tell your friend to get an addy or snap a pic for us. Make us all drool!

I asked Cabela's about this a couple of weeks ago. All they told me is there were rumors about it, nothing solid.

I just got off the phone with Cabelas - related to a different matter all together.
The Story: I bought a Calebas' brand line counter reel ($90) in Sept 01 and have been battling the drag ever since - it was so uneven. Well with the season ending I was at wits end and gave them a call and related the story of the uneven preformance of the reels brag (my primary kokanee reel) and they said to sent it back and they would replace it with a comparable reel.
Remember this is after 3 years.
I will be sending it on it's way and feel much better - so far.
Customer Service is what it is all about - Loyalty follows close behind.
Will let you know how it all turns out....

I remember that thread and was hoping the guy that made the post about the Lehi city's master plan might read this and tell us if he has seen this new buliding. WH2

I tried two of their brand of casting reels and couldn't get the drag to work on either one of them. They didn't hesitate letting me return them, and I continue purchasing from Cabela's, but I won't try another of their bait casting reels.

Another Cabelas fan here. Bought a rod last year and stepped on it and broke it first trip out. I called them and asked what thier policy was if I stepped on it and broke it. The gal simply said 100% satisfaction. We will send another one out right away.
