Has anyone been doing any good for any species lately? Heading up this weekend to clean up the trailer and possibly dunk the boat. Thought I'd see if anyone is having any luck.

I've heard some people are doing ok dragging a little pop gear and a worm. I've only been up to our place once since the ice thawed and that was for a (colder than hell) green river trip last week. So I don't know personally, but I'm pretty sure these people wouldn't have lied to me.
Let us know how it goes! [signature]

In years past, I have done well fishing for burbot this time of year.
They still feed fairly shallow at night until the water warms up a little more. PM me if you are interested in fishing for them, I'll give you some details. [signature]

Never thought about fishing for the burbot after ice off. This is good info. Made a trip in October and another in February, but now my freezer is empty.

There is a mercury warning for them now. I just don't think I'll be eating as many as I used to.

Thanks for the responses and messages. I did dunk the boat but did it at sheep creek because I haven't ran it for a few months and had my four year old on the boat. It's the easiest to launch and get back into if I were to have had motor problems. Turned into a boat ride with a little fishing. Caught one Kokanee and lost another one by hideout. Beautiful day on the boat. The bows were stacked in sheep creek, I would have liked to have just fished for them there but knowing the boat was good to go and my daughter begging me to in her words "go fast" stopped that plan. All in all it was a great day, even though we only put one fish in the boat.
