SS Dirigible Log: Deer Creek May 1, 2013
#1
I took the motorized tube out to Deer Creek yesterday evening -- again more to wring out the boat, check the floatation changes and run the battery down close to dead to check the voltage detection on my fish finder (to use as a fuel gauge of sorts).

I still have some work to do on the tube to get the nose up, but it functions.

The Fishing was much slower at Walburg than it has been the last month. I caught only 3 in 90 mins of trolling around.

There are A LOT of 4-6" fish still nipping the top of the water and jumping free. I think I had hits from those dinks about every 10 mins on the flies... but the 8 or so I actually hooked into graciously self-released prior to reaching the SS Dirigible Hull.

The tube is now working well enough, particularly with the Fuel Gauge, to go on some more "open water" adventures.

TY for the report; it was helpful. Did you find out what the water temp is?
