Arctic Ice Tundra, Alaskan Series Provide Long-Term Cooling, says PointClickFish.com
#1
The PointClickFish.com has been testing out the new Arctic Ice Alaskan Series and Arctic Ice Tundra Series re-usable rugged cooler packs.

What is Arctic Ice?

Arctic Ice is a new brand of rugged ice-substitute cooler packs that maintain low temperatures longer than ice or "blue gel" products. The active ingredient, PureTempâ„¢, is a plant-oil derived "phase-change material" (PCM). Arctic Ice is reusable, non-toxic and biodegradable and is not derived from petroleum products or alcohol like most other cooler inserts.

Arctic Ice Alaskan Series and Arctic Ice Tundra Series are re-usable rugged cooler packs that allow the outdoorsman to keep cooler contents cold or frozen all day without the mess and waste of ice or dry ice. The Arctic Ice team offers two types of rugged ice-substitute cooler packs. The Arctic Ice Alaskan Series (green in color) freezes at 1ËšC (33.8ËšF) and the Arctic Ice Tundra Series (purple in color) freezes at -15ËšC (+5ËšF). The active ingredient in each Arctic Ice Series is non-toxic, biodegradable and derived from the oils of plants - not petroleum they are re-usable for up to 100,000 times. Both series come in 4 convenient sizes (Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large).

The Alaskan Series offers its customers the opportunity to keep their refrigerated goods cold without any risk of freezing or mess from the water of melted ice. The 4 sizes allow for the product to be used in various coolers or cooler bags while on the water, sporting events or camping.

It is also important to point out that it takes at least 8 hours and when the product us "activated" or frozen solid it does not change color (the Tundra turns while when activated). If you are able to we suggest leaving the cooler packs in the freezer to ensure they are fully activated when needed.

The Tundra Series allows you to keep your bait or food frozen for days without the hassle of dry ice. Tundra Series panels freeze in your freezer at around 5°F and, when used correctly, can keep items frozen for extended periods of time. Keeping bait or chum fresh frozen for offshore excursions just got easier!

The Tundra Series works best when frozen for at least 36 hours at the lowest setting available on consumer freezers. You will know when the Tundra series is ready because the purple interior turns white when fully charged.

Our team will continue to do performance testing while our team is on the road and fishing and keep you updated on how the product performs.
