Went to Spring creek and found some crappie, had to wade through a ton of dinks to get the ones we kept. I have been trying the other inlets without much success, I would think they would be in similar areas, but I have only found them there. Has anyone else found them else where during their spawn? Also caught SMB and Perch, SMB were 10-12 Inches Perch were 3-8".
Caught them on jigs with and without a bober. Kept 28 for fish tacos and they were great, i gotta say though the bluegills from Mantua seemed to have a little firmer flesh.

Was wondering where spring creek is located never fished pineview much other than ice fishing would like to take my son on saturday and try our luck with some crappie if anybody can let me know where or how to get to it and where to launch my little aluminum boat thanks

[#0000FF]Map attached. It is on the far east side of the lake, on the road going north out of Huntsville. There is a sign and a parking area. But you have a little hike to reach the water. No fees in that area.

If you go, you will probably be able to tell where the fish are congregated, because of the other people fishing the area, I had the best luck fishing a little bit away from the crowd. You only need to cast 10-15 feet, with most of my fish only 5 feet out. I started with a jig tipped with a nightcrawler but they hit it just as fast with just a jig. If you need anymore info just give a holler.

Nice haul. What time of day seemed best? Have not been out this year and need to get out. Thinking this evening would be a good time.
