I am planning to go hit the water tuesday afternoon with a person that rarely fishes so wanted to get him onto numbers of bass - any input on East Canyon vs Deer Creek this weekend (experiences) as it will only be about 3 hours of fishing I wanted to do all I can to get him on a few fish as he can not go until after work on tuesday.
THANK YOU and feel free to PM me if needed - I will keep a tight lip! Thank you.

I would hit East Canyon on Tuesday, now if it was a Saturday like the one that just passed I would say DC because EC is a zoo on weekends and the wake boats make the shorelines muddy while they bounce your boat into oblivion!
Went up last Wednesday and two of us caught roughly 80 SMB and 1 Cut jigging the shoreline from a boat. If ya go use an olive or black tube jig with light lifting (4-6") action.

Thank YOU VERY MUCH. Any certain parts of the lake or depths you recommend - I fished it quite a bit about 2 weeks ago but have not been up in last 7 days.

I pretty much caught them everywhere there were rocks and even in some of the shallow gravel beds. The SMB are spawning or in pre-spawn mode so they are aggressively hitting jigs now anywhere from 1' to 20' from the shore. Just remember, slow retrieves with subtle jigging action and wait for the "TICK". Fish on!
