UDAV Event Updates

Team,
we need to start getting the volunteer boaters lined up for this years UDAV fishing event on July 27th at Strawberry, Soldier Creek Marina. Fishing will be from 7:00 to 12:00 with boater registration and launching starting at 6:00.

Coffee and donuts will be served at the ramp and there will be a free BBQ with recognition and awards ceremony from 1:00 - 3:00.

Our goal is to have at least one veteran on each boat that volunteers. However, sometimes we end up with more veterans than boats and in that case would put more than one on a boat. BFT folks had a fantastic turnout last year. This is a great opportunitiy to give back to our warriors.

Name, contact number, boat type and length, max number of veterans you could accomodate.

I am riding in a fellow forum members boat to help him out, he has plenty of room... here is my question. I have several guys here at hill that want to come help in anyway possible, can they send an email letting you know they are available for anything, they will pick up trash, help launch/recover/cook, what ever is needed?

Todd are going to be doing another spreadsheet like last year, so we can see how many boats and volunteers are signed up? I'm only asking because it was very helpful to be able to see who was in .

I'll be posting the numbers of boats we have signed up regularly. Currently we have about 5, so we've got quite a ways to go to hit our goal of 60.

Team, Adam Eakle of KSL Outdoors gave me a call last night and he will be there to film this event for his show with the new KSL Outdoors boat this year! []

Todd,
I am planning on moving our big boat to Strawberry on the 25th so she'll be ready. She can carry 16 plus captain and mate, but fishes six much better. I also have a 22' center console that will fish 2 or 3 that I can bring if you need her. I am planning to keep the big boat there until August 17th so we can use her for the cast for kids events or that is the plan now.

Team, for an update I wanted to let you know we are currently almost half way to our goal of boaters signed up. Please help get the word out to anyone with a boat you know that might be interested in helping us out. They don't have to be the greatest fisherman to help us out. Let them know we will all help get them set up for the vets to catch some fish.
