Caught at Deer Creek Yesterday

At first we thought it was a wiper but this may be a gigantic white bass...looks like in the 3 plus pound range too. Its hard for me to tell...[inline wiperwhitie.jpg]

White Bass has been found in Deer Creek and it's a mandatory catch and kill...But that thing is freaking huge!!!...

And there's the rub. Lots of folks are gonna see the picture and think that it would be great to have a White Bass like that. They'll think that Deer Creek is a great place for them. The problem is that the first few spawns of White Bass will grow well. Then there will be millions of them and they will eat themselves out of house and home. Then there will be lots of 6 - 8 inch White Bass and nothing bigger.

They grew like that in Utah Lake when they were first planted.

Looks like we have spawning pop in there. Bet you got it up close to the River inlet or in Walsburg creek !! Nice fish, to bad it was in Deer Creek !!

I was hoping it was a wiper...I believe the white bass will ruin deer creek. I am not sure where he caught it....it was after I left.
