Forgot the worms this morning for the panfish so I just chased the trout. Algae was in full bloom and really soupy by the inlet and only managed a couple bows. Did I miss the damsel hatch? Only saw a handful but I was expecting them to be out in force as I look forward every year hitting this lake at the end if June just for the damsel fly hatch. The two that I did manage to hook up on seemed very healthy and gave my 5wt all it could handle.

Sounds like fun. D'you tip your flies with worms <jk>
So fishing from the dock by the inlet? Kinda tight casting no? I fished the inlet itself late last summer, and there were plenty frisky bows that evening.
My one trip there - I never did pull out the fly rod. Bet those bitty gills woulda had fun chasing a whooly bugger! They didn't seem real big on biting, but there were into chasing.
We didn't really get out into the trout waters much. Surprised they haven't stocked it more this year.
