Canyon Lake Guide Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 59 degrees; 909' :
Largemouth are fair to good 5'-8' deep using 3/16. blk/blue
Terminator Pro Series jigs (www.canyonlakefishing.com)
w/Uncle Josh pork trailers (www.unclejosh.com), 5"
watermelon/chart. Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) and
pumpkin/chart. 5" worms. Upriver, pitching blk/blue fleck
Snap Back creature baits and blue fleck or motor oil Power
Worms tight to standing timber in 6'-12' is producing.

Smallmouth are good in 4'-12' on chartreuse 7/16 oz. tungsten
spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), green pumpkin Craw
Tubes and 3/16 oz. pumpkin Finesse jigs with Uncle Josh pork
trailers. On days immediately following a frontal passage or
changing wind direction, slow down the presentation with hair jigs, smokin' green Devil's Tongues and Sliding Weights' Craw Baby (www.slidingweight.com) on split shot rigs.

Stripers are fair to good early on the surface using blue
glimmer Snap Back jerkbaits and 5" minnow-type crankbaits.

White Bass are fair early on Spoiler Shads, Snagless In-Line
spinners (www.canyonlakefishing.com) and Pirk Minnows.

Crappie are fair in 8'-15' on silver Swirltails, Curb's crappie jigs
and live minnows.
