I got on the water at 630 and fished for kokanee until 3pm. The schools were in 40-45 feet. Best colors were pink and orange. I ended up with 5 caught and 3 lost at the boat.

After experiencing some technical issues, I threw a four inch long rainbow trout pattern swim bait. I had one follow on the swim bait; I have never seen a bigger brown trout in my entire life. I won't bother guessing on the size, but no one would believe me anyway. I tried a little figure eight musky trick at the canoe and it actually turned back but did lose interest after catching a glimpse of the craze in my eyes.

Sorry no pictures, just felt like fishing.

Nice report. Good luck on getting that pig. Rejection is tough. I might wander up there this year after all for some kokes. Thanks for the report. Hope to see some pics next time.

Did you use a down rigger to get down to the fish? How are the launches and water level holding out? Thanks for the report. J

Sounds like the same results we had on our last trip up there, I was hoping by now it would be better catching. I wonder what the deal is up there this year[:/].
