Scouted Strawberry today, for my first trip planned for next week. I had assumed it was a troll only bite but saw guys coming in with nice catches just bait fishing from their boats. If you'll have anxious kids on board and have to catch something what is the best bet. And are there good spots from the bank that don't require a boat at all?

There are some nice areas just east of the Ladders where you can fish from the shore. There are also some areas in Chicken Creek, Strawberry Bay, and Haws Point.

I was at Bryants Fork Sunday and did pretty well from a pontoon. The bank fishing seems pretty decent. There is a bay there that drops off quick and hear "fish On" a lot from that area.

East Portal Bay. The first dirt turn off past the Strawberry Marina turn off. You will go over a cattle crossing heading down toward the lake passing a brick pump house. From the spot I am talking about, you look across the lake at Strawberry Camp ground.

In fact, where this red mark is, is where you should try facing the small bay(to the west on the map). In the middle of that bay is over 70'.
