A civics lesson

[#800000]This IS NOT directed at any one individual but rather a general observation. The Regional Advisory Councils (RAC’s) are established under the authority of the Utah Administrative Code (Rules); specifically Rule R657-39, Wildlife Board and Regional Advisory Councils. There are created five (and only 5) regional advisory councils which shall consist of at least 12 members and not more than 15 members each from the wildlife region whose boundaries are established for administrative purposes by the Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR). Meeting locations may be proposed by the Division of Wildlife Resources, but shall be determined by the chair and must be held within the council's regional boundary. Salt Lake City is located in the Central Region. The only way to hold a RAC meeting in SLC under the current Administrative Code is for the Central Region chair to determine that is the best place to hold it.[/#800000]

[#800000]It isn’t going to happen any other way unless the Administrative Code is changed. If you want the Central RAC Meeting to be held in SLC in the future, convince the chair that is the best place to hold it. Ranting about it on this website and others isn’t going to get it changed. You need to educate yourself on how the system works and then work within that system to change it. Damn few of you have grasped that concept and it drives me up the wall sometimes to watch otherwise intelligent folks show off their ignorance on how government actually works.[/#800000]

[#800000]Simply wanting something to change and being vocal about it isn’t going to make it happen.[/#800000]
