Keller, Rick Behrend and Larry Keller, went fishing Nov. 15 on the Yellowfin and caught yellowfin tuna weighing in at 130 pounds, 60 pounds and 105 pounds. [/font][/red][/size][font "Arial"][purple][size 3]Windy weather has slowed fishing some this past week, but when it lays the catching has been good, according to all reports.
"Fishing’s been great when we can get out," said Fisherman’s Wharf.
Anglers are catching amberjack, grouper, vermilion and lane snapper, triggerfish, shark and blackfin tuna.
"The other day one of the private charters brought in a 146-pound yellowfin tuna" .
Another private charter returned with three nice yellowfin tuna in the 90- to 100-pound range.
Offshore Adventures says anglers are returning to the dock with lane snapper, kingfish and shark. On the 12-hour trips they are also catching some nice tuna.
On an eight-hour trip out of Deep Sea Headquarters, a lucky angler caught a 150-pound sandbar shark.
The long range tuna trips have been producing "loads" of big yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna and amberjack.
Also coming back to the dock this week were kingfish, shark and vermilion snapper.
Dolphin Dock reports that when the boats went out they have returned with good catches of amberjack, shark, kingfish and vermilion snapper.
"And we’re still seeing some tuna," they added.
Anglers continue to catch redfish in the bays and a few trout off of the jetties, said Woody’s Sports Center.
They are also picking up a few flounder near Charlie’s Pasture.
