I'm sure someone has been up there this Summer but we don't get a lot of reports from that lake. If you make it up there, please let us know how you do.

This is the actual report (dated July 26th) on the UDWR website:
"Recent flash floods have made the paved road from Highway 40 (along the creek) inaccessible. Crews have been up there this week, and we should soon know more about the road's condition and when it might be fixed. There hasn't been any word on the road from the Ladders; it may have safety issues as well." [signature]

Was there last friday, 3 cuts 23-26", 4 bows all fat and sassy, tigers a plenty. Worm, powerbait on a wedding ring trolled slow or just garlic powerbait. Folks doing really well from fisherman landing also on garlic powerbait, mostly fat bows.

Thabks. Atleast we know the road is clear. Did you fish the creek at all?

I was up there 2 weekends ago and saw where the flash flood had been. The road had been repaired but it was amazing to see where the water had come. I was mainly camping although I did manage to take the GF down and make a few casts. The shorelines are pretty choked with weeds (at least in the few spots we fished), so a boat is recommended. Shore fishing was slow but we did manage a couple of decent rainbows including Crysten's first on a fly rod. Yes, she was just as excited as I was

Thanks man. We'll probably be fishing from our toon and tube. I got my girlfriend on her first fish on a fly up in the Uintas about a month ago or so and damn near yanked it out of the water. Definitely a proud moment as a boyfriend. [
