Flaming Gorge American Heroes
#1
Spent 3 days on Flaming Gorge fishing 12 Wounded Warriors and others with disabilities. Three in wheelchairs.
Camped at Buckboard. Fishing was slow (comparatively) but when you have Ashley Bonser, Jared Johnson, Mike Humphries and other professional fishermen using their expertise and skills......You can count on fish. In the end everyone caught a mixed bag of fish; kokanee, lake trout and rainbow.

Whenever we are with our wounded warriors it turns into an extraordinary event. These guys are Americas finest.
We call this occasion "American Heroes" and this is the first annual event that is destined to grow and grow each year.

Way to go Steve, thanks for sharing the story and pics of giving back to some of our countries true heroes. Also, thanks to the other captains that helped these vets get a chance to enjoy some of the great adventures that most of us take for grant. The Gorge is one of those lakes that seldom disappoint, even when catching is slow.
