Headed up to the ol' 'Berry on Saturday for a break for the cats. It was cold early, but boy was it pretty.

It was pretty calm til about 11 o'clock, then got pretty windy for the rest of the day. However, it was much windier in the valley than it was up there. We decided to troll out to the spot we were gonna try and caught 7 in the first 15 minutes. I was using a gold Blue Fox and my dad was trolling power bait.

After the sun hit the water, it slowed down a bit, but we were still catching fish. Together we caught about 35 fishing from 7ish to 1ish. Most fish were caught on power bait. A couple on spinner, and a couple on worm and marshmallow. I did try the vertical jig for about 30 minutes with no luck. I was using a white tube jig with a 8th ounce jig head tipped with a night crawler. I tried several different jig motions, but after 30 minutes of no love I decided to give it up. I'll probably need someone to show me how it's done.
On the way back home we stopped at the visitors center to check out the Kokanee. There were tons. I honestly think a few of them were pushing 5 lbs. Man, I wish they would let me throw a fly in there...![[Image: happy.gif]](http://www.bigfishtackle.com/images/gforum/happy.gif)
