The DWR put out a tweet this afternoon about this monster that was caught up there. I am speechless.....

Yup... I'll be up there trophy hunting this week. The Tiger in my avatar was caught up there last November.

Fishing can be slow up there but some monsters live in that lake.

I wonder how many dinks he had to sort through to catch that hog. Been a long time since Ive caught a big one out of there. Used to catch 20 inchers routinely but that was 10 years ago.
I guess its time to take another shot.

Gotta admit that's a dandy. Also gotta comment that when you hold a fish at arms length toward the camera it'll look really big.

What did they decide for Scofield? I assume they decided against the poisoning plan and are planting more tigers and cutts to deal with the chubs?

Yeah more tigers and bear lake cutts. about a 75% to 25% ratio. No more rainbows. The study that USU did showed that the cutts and tigers are doing what they hoped they would do and eat chubs.

So if it was gill netted, is it fair to say it is a dead fish?

If so, I hope the DNR at least gets it mounted.

Am I missing something? I thought this was just a picture from the DWR's twitter feed that was caught during their sampling effort.
