#1
Anybody been to electric lake lately with a report? Is there any water left in it?

My husband and I fished Electric about 2 weeks ago. There's plenty of water. We caught about 5 cutt's before the wind & rain kicked us out. We were both stripping buggers with the fly rod. Not sure how spin fisherman are doing, but i'd assume fair. It's REALLY muddy, so maybe a boat or pontoon would be the best option? I'm REALLY looking forward to the day those salmon they planted in there are nice and big. Until then, cutty's it is.

GOOD LUCK!

[#0000FF]Did you by any chance get a squint at Huntington (Mammoth)...for water levels, etc.? That's another pond that has been ignored lately and it's getting about time for my annual assault.

I actually did. Water is low, but VERY fishable. We had just kicked out in our float tubes when Mother Nature said "no can do fellas". I love that place. Fiesty tigers! Go assault some trout & let us all know how you do. [Wink]

[#0000FF]Thanks. I have fished it when I had to carry all my stuff a long ways down to the water from the end of the ramp. I think I can still do it. Might be a good test for my new deer carrier tube cart.

I have always loved that lake and it is one of the few I fish with trout only on the menu. I have several fly patterns that I use mainly in Huntington. But when they are active it often don't make much differments.

Here are a couple of pics of "low tide"...and my wife launching with ice around the edges near the dam. That was early November about 3 years ago.
