good day at scofield
#1
[Wink][Wink] Three of us went to Schofield yesterday and had a good day. we fished with white tube jigs tipped with minnow. the take for the day 192 fish. the breakdown was 82 80 and 30 or 31. we fished in approximately 8 to 15 feet of water wherever we could find it and seem to do well at that depth with those baits. most of the fish were about 15 inches with a few over the slot limit of 22. the biggest fish were over 22 and were about three and a half pounds. Most were cut throat 3 tiger trout but no chubs. we actually tried to catch some chubs for bait but could not catch any. every time we droped our bait to the bottom for chub it would pick up a tiger or a cut throat. we brought about 4 dozen minnows, cut them in the multiple pieces and still ran out of bait. most fish were in the upper water column and if we finish the jigs quick we would hook up. it was a great day to be out on the water and really successful.
