Bottom Bouncer Fall Walleye
#1
The wind picked up and changed direction so the jigging really turned off. Decided to try some bottom bouncing with spinner rigs and a little floating wobbler on the opposite shore than I was fishing. Fishing in about 20-25 feet of water was the ticket for the fish hugging the bottom. Hooked up on a bunch of walleye and some pike. I love fishing bottom bouncers, who am I kidding I love fishing any way. It is a great way to see wha is on the bottom as well as you drift along you can feel where the bottom is soft or rocky. I even found a new underwater hump while drifting along that I might give another try this winter to see if it is holding any big fish. Here's a video of the action and some tips if you have never bottom bounced before you should give it a try. Best time to do it is when you have wind to drift accross structure and the walleye are showing on the graft tight to the bottom.

How fast do you think you were drifting? Do you by chance know the exact name of the lure you were using?

I'm not really sure how fast I was drifting. It was a variation since I would start against the shore and blow out so I was steadily picking us speed as I drifted. I'm not exactly sure what the lure is called that I was using... it is like Lindy’s Lil’ Guy Lure. Check it out on Lindy's sight.
