Good fishing at Willard
#1
Went to Willard late this morning, about 1030. South Marina is closed ( gate locked ). Drove to the North Marina then plotted my course to get out just to the west end of the boat channel. What a beautiful day to be out fishing. Virtually no noise, no boats no people, hardly any breeze, calm water. Fishing couldn't have been better. What a great day.

That was the fishing part. Catching part, well I'll just say there wasn't any catching.

Thanks to the person that offered to take me out on your boat just as I was leaving. That was very considerate of you to ask.

LOL, I thought you were another member, TinCan parks in that exact spot and fishes the same area, so I thought it was him when I invited you out with me but you would have been welcome as well. Sounds like we had the same luck though. I stayed until 4pm and only got one bite. It was calm out there and not much of a breeze, it was flat calm when I left. Water temp was 45*. Water level is still dropping. I was thinking this was the best weather for the week, so I had better get out there while I could. Maybe if I had gotten out there a little earlier I could have done better but after a cold weekend I thought I would let the water warm some, but that did little good[frown]. Of well maybe I'll go trout fishing this weekend, I know they are biting[Wink]. Hopefully we will get another chance to fish together on another day.
