Getting ready for ice fishing here's a couple products that are inexpensive and work as they are K2 tested and approved. [cool]

I ordered the spring bobbers from basspro and they were bent pretty good. Anyone know if that'll effect action a whole ton, not super bad but kinked to one side pretty good

I have been ice fishing for going on 15 years. I have tried every strike indicator that I could come up with. I even made some of my own using guitar strings.
The Action Bite Indicator is bar none the best that I have ever used. I have tried to get Sportsman's to carry them for 3 years now.
It is worth placing an order for them from the factory.
You will not find a better build and longer lasting indicator anywhere.

I used some mono to hold the loop in place and then used heat shrink tubing to cover the mono knot. I then used zip ties to secure the indicator to the rod tip. Works well but looks home made.

another good cheap stocking stuffer is clip on depth finders....i alway use..and lose...lots of these

I've tried that strike indicator and my line often snags up on the black part that pinches over the rod tip. I pinched them quite tightly and they still snag. Am I doing something incorrectly?

[#0000FF]Plain old electricians tape will smooth the edges. Better yet is heat shrink tape.

Difficult, if not impossible, to get the shrink tape over the large rod tip. Do they make heat shrink tape in a form that can be wrapped, like regular tape, and then heated and shrunk?

[#0000FF]I know guys who always carry some in their "emergency kits". Great for temporary or permanent repairs that zip ties won't do as well.
A few wraps of a cut-down strip can fix a loose guide or a broken reel seat. While a heat gun is better you can get the tape to shrink with a butane lighter or even a couple of matches...while rotating the wrap.
No proof of insanity needed on this board. We all do our best to reinforce our personal credentials.

best tip i can give..
find a buddy that lives near your favorite waters that will check the ice for ya so you don't have to drive 3 hours to find there is and or is not any ice!!

We've never had any issue with the line snagging up on any part of the indicator. We use a very little super glue to secure indicator to rod tip. Can you post up a pic of how you have indicator attached?
