How well do you know the lake ? You can drive all the way around the lake . There is a road that will drop you on the west end of the cliff . I am not very good at giving directions . If you need more information . Let me know and I will get more specific in a pm .

Dont recall the name of the campground on the asphalt road on the south side of the lake but you turn on the dirt road on the west side of the campground ( outside of the fence) and it will take you to the west end of the cliffs.

Access is very easy. I believe it is called "South Shore Access". The turn off is right by the Red Rock RV park. I only have 2 WD so I can't get all the way in. I just park at the top of the hill before it drops down. It's about a half mile hike in from there, not too bad at all.

Thanks guys! I'm hoping to get back up again tomorrow. Based on the webcam it looks like we got way more snow in Rexburg than they did in Island Park.

I attempted to fish there this morning. It was the most miserable 3 hours I have ever had ice fishing. We drove down Red Rock Rd to the cliffs. Passable for a 4 wheel drive, just some drifitng. The wind was a bear today and the water was extremely agitated. We kept feeling the waves come across the lake in the ice. We caught 1 fish and had 3 bites before we had enough. It was all 2 of us could do to anchor down the pop-up. I am eagerly awaiting some wind free days. There was about 4 inches of new snow, but it was being blown around. Back down farther in Island Park the wind was hardly blowing. Hwy 20 is fairly slick when we came back.
