Firehole Report

We hit Firehole this weekend and found 10 inches of ice, Decent roads, and no fish.

Out of the 5 or 6 guys I talked to there was a combined two fish caught. The guys with the fish finder said they were not marking a lot of fish.

Might have just missed it.

Sorry to hear about your poor success at Firehole. It is usually good for a month or longer after first ice but as the ice grows the catching is usually better farther South, like Lost Dog and the Confluence. The catching for burbot should really be getting better as the spawn starts, how shallow were you fishing?

From 10-25ishft. I ran six poles in a line.

We were hoping to get some of them coming in for some feed. There were Burbot that other people caught that they decided to leave on the ice. It might have just been the wrong moon.
