I went down to the pump house the other day. I noticed the walk-in access is gone. What happened to lose it?
How do you access it now?

Walk-in access via the road was closed when they built the new pump house. I spoke with an individual there and they mentioned they are considering opening up the public access trail again, but right now it is still close to the public for walk in via the road. You can access it via the park ove rthe bridge just south west of the pump. [signature]

Man that is the long way around isn't it? I have gone that way a few times and it kinda stinks dragging gear through there. Do you happen to know if they dredged it out deeper in front of the pumps?

I saw it during the construction when it was free of water. No dredging at all outside the pump house barrier. [signature]

What I do know which I think contributed to the lack of fish was remove the structure that was caught up by the pump house. They flattened the bottom, removed tree limbs, and the dock that was there is now gone.
Doesn't help also that the lake is 3 feet lower than years past. [signature]

That is too bad. I really liked fishing over there especially with my kids. We really need some more snow to get water levels back up for spawning in the spring.
I bet some more structure will get caught up around the pump house again over time. Thanks for the info. [signature]

Access stinks but you can still find a lot of fish there. Last yr I had several white bass bash fests. Only been once this yr and caught several but some dudes by me had a magic spot and were slinging them out left and right. I wouldn't give up on it, it still can be fun.
