Had a chance to run up to Strawberry yesterday for a couple of hours. On the soldier Creek side in the arm by the highway. Walked out almost to the Rocky point on the left. Fished in 25-32 feet of water. The hot ticket was a maniac gazilla orange in color with a juicy butterworm. I like to pinch the head off so they are oozing with butter. I caught about 15 rainbows 10 to 15 feet under. I had my second pole on the bottom at 30 feet, with another orange maniac gazilla with another juicy oozing butterworm and caught three cut throats in the 2 hours I was there. The cuts were about 19". It looks like One stop just got a new order of maniac jigs and grubs in for the ice fishing season. They say they got a new supplier getting them JUMBO butterworms. I also did notice that some of the butterworms were small which I think worked even better. Them rainbows would come back 2 and 3 times and hit it until you hooked them. They must have a real flavorful flavor. Ken told me he is going to make Jelly sandwhiches out of them next time we go fishing. Laugh out loud. Merry Christmas to all you BFT members.
