Hello my fellow ice anglers,
My cousins and I are planning a trip to Otter Creek within the next week or two to get into some fat rainbow action and I was wondering if anyone knows how things have been lately. Thanks!

I went to the Otter Creek State Park facebook page and I heard there was 9+ inches of ice on the south end. I hear it is a little slow but I bought a new Frabill fishing pole so I'm aching to try it out. Weather looks good early next week so I'm going. The DWR also just posted a couple of days ago on their website. With the moon waning hopefully the fishing will pick up soon.
Good Luck.

Went today. 10 inches where I was at on the south end. Fished in 26 feet, almost all fish were caught 10-12 feet below the surface. You will catch more fish with sonar. Caught and released this 18 inches.

Sweet! Thanks for the info, guys. A sonar would be really helpful, maybe one of these days I can scrounge up enough money to buy one. Nice fish by the way. I love those fat OC bows. I just can't wait to get on the ice! It's been far too long.
