What TD didn't tell you

He didn't seem to mention that his souped up perch chunk recipe also helps land these.

My first walleye! Took me long enough. 4:10 pm on a lindy worm in 22ft of water tipped with the good stuff. Only fish in the hour I fished yesterday.

We were on a scout camp, and we had hopes, after the walleye for a successful day. Well, I had a successful day. Only two fish, both were pike on a tip up, but I had my first over 30 inches.

The first next to mr Sunday dinner. This pike was 20.5.

The second being propped up by the scouts that helped me dehook him.

Look at those Smiles.

Funny enough no perch today, and no slimers. I am just glad the teeth came out to play, although my fingers would beg to differ. CARNAGE.

Big girl went back to become a 40 incher, but my sore bloody fingers had their revenge on the first two.

This was a lake in Colorado, rifle gap, but it wouldn't have had luck without help from friendly Utahns. Full disclosure completed.

[#0000FF]Nice work...and pictures.

Not surprised you caught something besides perch on PPP. I've caught just about every species in Utah on that stuff...where legal to use.

Once you learn where the Y bones are...and how to make the cuts...you will have an easier time of removing them from the pike. Well worth the effort. Although pike are slimy and smell bad their flesh is mighty toothsome on the table.

I have a video somewhere that shows how to fillet a pike and remove the y bones. Now where did I put that.....
