Mantua

We arrived Saturday at 2pm. Hit the hard deck on the south side with almost everybody in Brigham. Fishing was really slow. Temp was 45 degrees So warm the holes were not even freezing over. Fished in 20 ft. Away from everyone. Caught a skinny trout. Moved in to 10 feet. Caught a baby largemouth. moved in to 5 ft caught a blue gill. We tried everything but the kitchen sink. We logged fish at all levels. But not to many takers.
Ice is a good foot thick. We stayed until 5pm and then the wind kicked in. Everyone we talked to said it was really slow. Better in the morning. All fish were returned go grow bigger.

Expect more of the 'clamp down' at Mantua, as winter marches on.

The masses don't seem to mind though.
