Pineview Saturday 1/11/14
#1
Went up after perch. Took my Brother in-law with me. We were the first ones to show up in the cemetary point parking lot at 645 am. Started drilling on the south side at 7 am. We drilled four holes before hooking the first fish at 730. After that we set up the big eskimo and fished till about noon. They were hitting hard enough to not have to use spring bobbers but they sure helped on the medium rods.

We definately were not the only ones to show up, there were about 20 groups on the south side and another 25 or so on the north side all the way to browning.

We caught 60 good sized perch for a fish fry that night on small glow rats and jigs tipped with waxies and perch eyes.

At 930 the Tigers started to cruise through but didnt have any takers. The bite would die then come back after about 10 minutes.

All in all a very successful day!

Did not take too many pictures just a few for my brother's sake, he has not caught more than one fish an outing and has not caught a fish in a handful of years so I got him out for this skunk breaker.

We were up there Saturday too! We didn't make it out until late afternoon though. I was curious as to how the morning was, so thank you for sharing your success. We ended up with over 20 in the hour and a half we were there. Did you find one time of the morning any better than the other?

From 8-930 was hot. Then the muskie started to cruise through and broke up the perch.

Sounds great! Thanks again for the info. Also, this is my first year fishing with a tent, do you have any advice or must have gadgets that make it fun while in the tent?

I would recommend a camera. They are great for those light bites, and the kids love them. I don't have any electronics yet i add something New each year and a tent was more important that a camera or flasher.
