Anyone been to East Canyon this past week? Looking for catching report & ice safety. Looks like it's cold enough at night to keep things solid, but mid-thirties during the day. Any information is appreciated.

Had a decent trip Saturday. No real certain depth/ bait/ time. We caught them from 10' off the bank, 3-30' depth, to 200' off the bank and on the bottom. We caught them off and on from can see 'till can't see, and on all different baits.
Personally, I caught most mine in about 20' of water about 8' off the bottom, most on shrimp and a pink ice cutter, but a couple on a green tube jig.
Was never red hot. Took all day, but 4 of us caught our limits of 16" fat ' bows and released a bunch of 8-10" planters. No tigers.
We caught them on night crawlers, shrimp. and mealies as well as several types of jigs. Some of us used attractors, some not. I don't think it mattered the fish were scattered and eating zooplankton. Just a right place right time game.

We paid the $10 and fished off the State Park by the dam. Well worth it, with the water being so low and other spots being very treacherous at least. A bit of water on the edges and wslush in the evening, but nothing serious.
