For those looking for a something to do at Bear Lake this weekend, you are welcome to join me and my family and friends for our annual "cisco disco" on Saturday from about daybreak until 9:00am or so. There is no charge besides the entrance fee to the state park and this is not affiliated with the State Parks or UDWR. This is just a bunch of friends and family. However, if you are coming up with a scout troop, PLEASE bring your own food, cooking stuff, etc. and do your own cookout! We don't mind individual people coming over to join us, but having 2 or 3 troops of 20 scouts each show up and woof down all our food isn't cool!! We pay for the food out of our own pockets and the cisco are legally collected and cleaned the day before by several local people in our community. I hate to sound rude, but sometimes people just don't see a problem with showing up and feeding their entire troop on our dollar. Afterward the State Park, Chamber of Commerce and Bear Lake Convention and Visitors' Bureau are sponsoring the Bear Lake Polar Plunge. That will take place at the Utah State Park marina from 11am till noon.
