Havent posted a report for a long time, so here goes! My dad and I hadnt gone cisco fishing for several years, so we decided to go this year. We heard that the peak was last Thursday, but we werent able to make it out until Saturday, so we were a bit nervous. We arrived just after 7, and cut out a circle using a hatchet. It wasnt long before the fish started showing up. We ended up limiting out by 8:00, with much of that time spent remembering how to do things and cutting the hole. Things went so well, we decided to go again Sunday. We decided to go a bit later, as it seemed the bigger ones were showing up toward the end of our session the day before. We arrived just before 8, and there was a few open holes already waiting for us. We found that the cisco had moved a little bit deeper, but ended up being able to limit out within 45 minutes still. If you go out, just be very careful, as the ice seemed quite a bit thinner just from Saturday to Sunday.
